Parental Controls & Safeguarding Statement

11+ Help is designed to be run by a parent or guardian for their own child. This statement explains the controls you have and the choices we made to keep the service age-appropriate (ICO Age-Appropriate Design Code).

The account model

• Only an adult can register. The adult creates each child profile.
• A child profile holds a nickname, school year, target entry year, optional exam date, and target schools — nothing more. No date of birth, address, real school, photo, or contact details for the child.
• There is no child-to-child contact, no public profiles, no messaging between users, and no user-generated content that other users can see.

The AI assistant ("Ask the Tutor")

• Premium feature; off by default on the free plan.
• Kept on-topic (11+ study only), age-appropriate in tone, and rate-limited.
• Every exchange is logged and visible to you.
• It never discloses mock-exam answer keys.
• If you would rather your child not use it, simply don't enable Premium or don't point them at the Tutor page — there is no separate child login to lock down.

Data minimisation and no profiling for ads

We do not build advertising profiles, do not use behavioural advertising, and do not sell data. Learning data is used to personalise practice for your child and, in aggregate and non-identifying form, to improve question quality.
